Light On The Mountain
The founder of Mountain View School Campground and Sanctuary has always had the same goal: give back.  Therefore, just like the original days as a school, the property is committed to helping children learn and grow.

10% of all of our proceeds will be donated to Light On The Mountain, a not for profit organization, to help abused, neglected or disadvantaged children experience nature and many other activities.  Light On The Mountain’s headquarters is Mountain View School Campground and Sanctuary and regularly holds events at our location.

Statement from Light On The Mountain

Light on the Mountain

“Our focus is to ultimately benefit as many adults, children and young people as possible, by giving them an opportunity to not only explore nature and all the wonderful outdoor activities that go with it, but also to increase their sense of connectedness  with the world around them.  We intend to promote a positive change in their self esteem, enhance their ability to relate to others and to make them feel loved and safe.
We believe there is a new shift in consciousness where love, peace, unity and oneness with God and all his creation are paramount. Our guideposts are the teachings of Jesus Christ as set forth in the Bible and will include trainings and materials provided by the Merton Institute, based on the insights of Thomas Merton, as well as materials from other enlightened teachers.

Our organization wants to make a difference in our communities from the grass roots perspective.  We are a group of concerned people who want to take their world responsibility seriously and do something for the world.  Whether teaching an adult or a child to play pickleball, enjoying nature together or asking the harder questions of why they feel so disconnected from society, lonely or unloved, we want to make a positive difference.  Our goal to affect people, especially children, in a positive, meaningful and enduring way.
We value, respect and serve all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.”
